I intend to use my degree in business to pursue a career in management consulting and entrepreneurship and establish my own global trading firm. My mother is my inspiration because as I was growing up, I watched her—an immigrant from Haiti and a single parent—operate and build a business through her network. Despite all her work, when it came time for me to go to college, I needed financial help.

UNCF gave me an award when I needed it most. It has allowed me to focus on my studies and has lifted the weight of my worry about how to pay for food and school without stressing my mother.

There are other students just like me who also need help. Like me, they are dedicated, hardworking and looking forward to earning the degree that will change the trajectory of their lives.
