Dear Friend,
Today I had the opportunity to speak at the Carnegie Foundation for Middle East Peace on a topic I know you care about - the silencing of pro-Palestine speech [[link removed]] . I highlighted the long history of Arab Americans being silenced for speaking in favor of Palestinian liberation.
I joined this important conversation because I authored a chapter for the forthcoming Suppressing Dissent: Shrinking Civic Space, Transnational Repression and Palestine–Israel [[link removed]] . This book, available on December 5, is downloadable. It's a worthwhile read and important information to share with family, friends, allies, and those looking to stand for their First Amendment rights.

You made AAI's contribution to this work possible.
So, on this Giving Tuesday, when so much is at stake in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Sudan, and here at home, I share this work with you because you made it possible. And this is only one example from today. You make so much of our work possible and we are proud to stand with you.

If you can support our work on this Giving Tuesday please know that the donation you make will be matched, dollar for dollar, by a generous supporter who shares your values. That means that ANY GIFT made in these last few hours will double AAI's ability to fight for Palestinian liberation, Lebanese sovereignty, voting rights, civil liberties, and communities free of hatred and bigotry.
Thank you,
Maya
