"It feels so good to have FIT there to support and help me." - Abigail
When Abigail first met with her case manager after arriving at our Family Shelter, she detailed her strategies for keeping her family fed every month when times were tough. This often meant she would go without essential items like food, toiletries, and even feminine hygiene products to ensure her children had enough to eat.
After Abigail was given essential care items by her case manager, she said, "It feels so good to have FIT there to support and help me."
This story is becoming more common. But with your help on this Giving Tuesday, we can ease the burden of our community members so they never again have to choose between housing, food, and essential personal care items.
Ways to Make a Difference This Giving Tuesday:
-
Give a Monetary Donation: Your gift directly supports Families in Transition's mission of breaking and preventing the cycle of homelessness. Donations provide access to critical resources like food, shelter, and treatment programs. Every dollar makes a difference.
-
Donate High Need Items: With winter approaching, the demand for essentials is higher than ever. Items like underwear, soap, and feminine hygiene products help us meet the most basic needs of program participants like Abigail.
Together, we can make life easier for families in need.
Thank you for being a part of our community and for making a difference this Giving Tuesday.
