Friends,

Unlike groups to our right, we don’t have right-wing megadonors making massive contributions to push their agenda – we count on community support from thousands of donors like you.

Like many advocacy groups, J Street relies on Giving Tuesday / year-end donations for over 40% of our annual grassroots fundraising.

Every contribution today is deeply appreciated. Every dollar helps strengthen our movement.

Thank you, sincerely, for your consideration. – Tali de Groot

We need you in this fight.

In Gaza, families are starved of food and shelter. Parents watch their children grow thinner. Doctors operate without anesthetics. Hostages battle to survive, abandoned by their leaders.

In Israel, former Defense Minister and IDF Chief of Staff Moshe Ya’alon warns that right-wing extremists are dragging Israel down a path to “occupy, annex and ethnically cleanse” Gaza. Minister Smotrich openly brags about West Bank annexation under Trump.

At home, Trump is handing the reins to fanatics and posting threats of “hell to pay” in Gaza on January 20 – as if families there aren’t living through hell already. As if even larger, deadlier bombs in response to Hamas hold hope of bringing hostages home.

As dark as things are, progress really is possible – now and going forward – but we have to be every bit as persistent and strategic as those we’re up against.

Two weeks ago, we helped press Biden to sanction Israel’s largest settlement builder. We expect more to come. Last week, settlement champion Smotrich said UN Security Council action could do “serious damage” to annexation plans. We’re counting on it.

Your support this Giving Tuesday will fuel our campaign for President Biden to take further steps – a UN resolution, additional sanctions, action on humanitarian aid and the hostage crisis – to save lives, lock in safeguards and shackle extremists.

In the coming months, you’ll help us go toe-to-toe with right-wing groups and win battles to shape the Democratic Party's future. We cannot afford to go backwards.

Especially in such a dark and difficult time, we must continue the struggle for our vision of a just, safe, democratic and peace-loving homeland for the Jewish people and our Jewish values.

As Adee said yesterday, there’s no sugar-coating it: Charting a path out of this won’t be easy. But we’re not stepping back, we’re stepping forward, and we need you in this fight.

Thank you, sincerely, for standing alongside us,

Adina Vogel Ayalon
Vice President and Chief of Staff, J Street
