Legal Challenges with Paul Jonna

At Catholic Action for Faith and
Family we try to stay on the cutting edge of issues of concern to
faithful Americans and certain issues are off the radar and need a
little exposure. That’s the case with our next Catholic Action Insight episode which features attorney Paul Jonna
(pron. Jonah from the Thomas More Society, who talks to us about the
“Abortion Pill Reversal Protocol” that is saving precious lives. It’s
a short but lively interview you don’t want to miss.
To set the stage: Imaging a young
woman who is pressured into abortion by a partner and reluctantly goes
to an abortion clinic to get the at-home “abortion pill.” That regime
of chemical killing happens to be one of the most common methods of
abortion today. The abortion industry euphemistically calls it a
“medical abortion” to give the impression that it’s the “no fuss”
abortion option for women with the certification of the medical
community. Hardly.
It is evil abortion by any other
name. The process actually involves two pills, not one, and takes
about three days before the woman actually expels the deceased child
from her body. Some women have testified that it is a gruesome,
gut-wrenching procedure to go through.
You can well imagine that in these
straining psychological and emotional situations many women can and do
feel alone and confused. So it is not surprising that some of these
women, upon a second thought, change their mind and want to stop the
chemicals from doing damage to her child. They search the internet for
“abortion pill reversal” or “how to stop the abortion pill” and finds
actual pro-life organizations who can offer her help before it’s too
late.
That is possible now because Dr.
George Delgado of San Diego developed a protocol to reverse the
chemical effects of the abortion pill in many cases.
The protocol has been successful in
preserving the lives of at
least 5000 babies from chemical abortion through the life-saving decisions of women
who had taken one pill but then repented and turned to pro-life
medical experts for help.
The abortion industry wants one and
only one outcome of every abortion procedure: a dead baby. And when
the pro-life option is frustrating their efforts, they get nasty. In
this episode Paul Jonna discusses the legal challenges brought by
attorney generals of several states wanting to stop the use of the
“abortion pill reversal” protocol and the legal efforts to stop
them.
These valiant lawyers are fighting
the good fight in literal trench warfare (in the courts!) defending
the pro-life organizations that are offering abortion pill reversal.
Mr. Jonna explains in the video:
- The
diabolical way in which the abortion pill works as another weapon
against the innocent child;
- The
“attack lawsuits” brought by the California Attorney General
attempting to literally outlaw the abortion pill reversal
method;
- The
organizations that are taking the brunt of this attack;
- The
tremendous success that the abortion pill reversal protocol is having
with literally no adverse side-effects.
- And the
status of their case in the courts as well as other cases that are
related and will affect the legal status of this critical issue for
years to come.
