REMINDER: Thanks to a group of generous donors, every dollar donated by midnight on Tuesday, December 3, will be MATCHED up to $100,000!

Hi Jack,

You’ve been hearing a lot from our team at American Wild Horse Conservation today. This year’s Giving Tuesday is more critical than ever. Today, you have the chance to double your impact for our wild horses and burros! And that’s why I want to personally connect with you and share a few heartwarming stories about how your support has saved lives. These stories wouldn’t be possible without people like you.

But first, if you’re short on time, would you consider rushing a donation to help us reach our $100,000 matched Giving Tuesday goal? → [[link removed]]

Creedence was born free on Nevada’s Virginia Range but struggled to thrive in his first few hours of life. Too weak to stand and unable to be reunited with his mother, he was rescued by our partners at Wild Horse Connection and Least Resistance Training Concepts. Creedence was transported straight to Comstock Equine Hospital, where he needed a plasma fusion to survive. AWHC’s rescue fund assisted with his vet bills, and, soon, he was able to leave the hospital and was transferred to the loving care of WHC where he remains today.

Your support enables us to fund rescues like Creedence’s, covering critical veterinary care and supplies for orphaned and abandoned foals. Together, we can ensure no foal is left behind.

Will you help us power more rescues like these in 2025 by rushing a gift this Giving Tuesday? Thanks to support from a generous group of donors, every dollar you give today will be MATCHED up to $100,000. [[link removed]]

Jack, I’m going to let you in on the heartbreaking truth: The final destination for wild horses and burros who have been violently captured and removed from our public lands is often a slaughter auction. A few years ago, as part of AWHC’s investigation into the Adoption Incentive Program, I came across four burros who found themselves just days away from shipping across the border to slaughter.

The moment I saw them, my heart broke. All four were victims of horrific abuse and had deep, raw wounds covering their little bodies from being used for hot branding practice. Their pain was palpable, and I knew we couldn’t leave them behind.

Our team quickly paid for the burros’ release and their initial vet care costs. We also covered the cost of transporting the traumatized burros to our partner sanctuary, Montgomery Creek Ranch, in California where they were able to make full recoveries and eventually be placed in loving adoptive homes!

Jack, stories like this remind us of how very critical your support is. Every dollar you give on Giving Tuesday enables us to intervene in horrific situations like these innocent burros faced.

I want to tell you one last rescue story with a happy ending, thanks to your generosity.

Not long ago, our team was contacted directly by the U.S. Forest Service (USFS), looking to find homes for multiple special needs mares captured during a federal helicopter roundup at Devil’s Garden Wild Horse Territory in California. All of the horses were facing euthanasia due to non-lethal conditions.

Our team jumped into action, working closely with partner sanctuaries Montgomery Creek Ranch in California and Equine Voices Rescue & Sanctuary in Arizona to coordinate and fund the rescue of these four mares.

We thought the story had ended there.

Months later, we found out that all four mares were pregnant! Thanks to your support, these mothers found refuge at the sanctuaries instead of facing euthanasia or giving birth in crowded, unsafe conditions in holding pens.

We applaud the USFS for connecting with our team to achieve a humane solution for these wild horses. Jack, this heartwarming story is a testament to why our work is so important — and why your support is so impactful.

With your help, we can amplify our efforts in 2025. Your gift today will double your impact on America’s wild horses and burros. [[link removed]]

Jack, your generosity has already saved so many lives. But for every wild horse or burro we rescue, there are so many more who need our help. Together, we can create more happy endings like the ones we secured for Creedence, the burros in Oklahoma, and the Devil’s Garden mares.

Please don’t wait — make your gift today, and it will be MATCHED to save twice as many lives. Help us make 2025 a year of hope and progress for America’s wild herds. [[link removed]]
