What do you do when a pandemic strikes?

If you're the state's Attorney General, you have more challenging legal questions than usual – and a huge responsibility to continue serving the people of North Carolina, looking out for the many who are threatened by the virus and its harmful consequences.

If you're on the AG's campaign team – as I am – you have to find innovative ways to get the word out and to ensure Josh Stein is re-elected. A special interest super PAC has committed millions of dollars to beat Josh. As his campaign manager, I thought you might be interested in some of the ways we're adjusting so we can stay in the fight and win in November.

Creative and Inclusive Virtual Events:

We're disappointed that we can’t travel the state and meet people like we're used to. So we have begun having fun, interactive events over Zoom. Earlier this month, we even had a pet-themed Happy Hour hosted by Josh and his two dogs, Amos and Jenny.

Volunteer Program

We have a robust at-home voter outreach program, led by our political director John Brown. Already we have dozens of supporters calling and texting voters to spread the word about the good work Josh is doing as Attorney General. If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer, click here.

Investing in Digital Organizing Tools:

We have organized a series of town halls, supporter calls, and Zoom panel discussions with coalition partners, community leaders, and everyday North Carolinians. Stay tuned for details as these roll out.
We are ramping up our digital outreach on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
