Dear John,

On Giving Tuesday, I wanted you to be one of the first to hear the exciting news!

In an unprecedented cross-movement partnership, Vet Voice Foundation – the leading nonpartisan veterans advocacy group – and PFLAG have come together to issue a clarion call for support and affirmation of trans youth and their families with a new PSA campaign.

“Branden’s Daughter” is a compelling, direct testimonial ad from a father simply asking for the chance to give his trans daughter the freedom to be herself. Like most parents, he wants all his children to have access to the opportunities every child deserves, without onerous interference by political activists using the levers of government to target them. Branden, the veteran at the center of the “Branden’s Daughter” campaign, was a Navy aviator for thirteen years.

Watch the ad here:

Will you answer the call to support trans youth and their families with a Giving Tuesday gift to PFLAG National?

The ad – released in advance of tomorrow’s oral arguments in the Supreme Court case U.S. v. Skrmetti challenging state bans on gender affirming care – will run in Washington, DC as well as Texas and North Carolina, two states with legislation targeting transgender youth.

Veteran dads like Branden and their families provide the backbone of our nation through their commitment to service and to protecting every American’s freedom to thrive. They didn't serve for their families to not be free.

PFLAG is honored to partner with Vet Voice Foundation and proud veterans like Branden. Your Giving Tuesday gift to PFLAG National will help mobilize support, influence policy, and demand attention to the harm caused by anti-trans legislation

We must meet this moment to soften hearts, change minds, and support our LGBTQ+ loved ones. Thank you for your support.

In solidarity,

Brian K. Bond (he/him)
CEO, PFLAG National
