Dear Friend,

I am so excited to help CURE Epilepsy raise funds for critical research. My name is Sasan and I am in 10th grade. My mother lives with epilepsy, so it has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. Even before I was old enough to go to school, my family taught me what to do when my mom has a seizure. 

My internship is focused on research development. I have learned so much about where CURE Epilepsy fits into the research ecosystem. CURE Epilepsy plants the seeds for future discoveries by funding early-stage research, often before it is eligible for government funding.
