A game-changing GivingTuesday match from Melinda French Gates’ organization

Dear John – this is your last chance to RSVP for TODAY’s star-studded event at 7 pm ET on Zoom!

Join me, Busy Philipps, Congresswomen Nikema Williams and Brittany Pettersen, John Stamos, Abbott Elementary's Lisa Ann Walter, Hamilton’s Tamar Greene, AK Sen Cathy Giessel, GA Sen Nabilah Islam, and more to kick off raising A Million for Mamas, thanks to a donation match of up to $500,000 from Melinda French Gates’ organization, Pivotal. We’re going to dive into how Vote Mama Foundation identifies and breaks down the structural barriers keeping moms out of office and out of power and how YOU can potentially double the impact over the next 10 days in supporting this work when it could not be more important

Through research and policy education, Vote Mama Foundation has made critical strides in breaking barriers for moms running for office – including helping see Campaign Funds for Childcare be authorized in 38 states and D.C. – but this is just the tip of the iceberg. It will take all of us mobilizing to raise this $1 million so my team can do the needed work to support the structural solutions mamas need in order to run for and serve in office.

Let’s do this – I’ll see you this evening.

Vote Mama Foundation Founder & CEO

P.S. If you can’t make it, please make your contribution right now and be one of the first donors to secure Pivotal’s match.

Dear John,

We are thrilled to announce the mama behind the match: Melinda French Gates. Through her organization, Pivotal, up to $500,000 in individual donations in support of Vote Mama Foundation will be matched dollar-for-dollar over the next 10 days, giving us the opportunity to raise $1 million.

>> Will you be one of the first donors to secure the match? Make your donation now, and it could go twice as far.

This match is a game-changer—and it comes at a time when Vote Mama Foundation’s barrier-breaking structural solutions are more critical than ever.

Right now, moms across the country are stepping up to serve in elected office. But these moms are up against a political system that wasn’t built with them in mind. Our research shows less than 8% of state legislators and less than 7% of congressional representatives are moms with minor children.

Moms face unique barriers to elected office - like the inability to afford childcare while campaigning without a salary or while commuting for hours back and forth to the capitol. Through research and policy education, we identify and break down these structural barriers to make it possible for more moms to run for and serve in elected office.

Then, tonight at 7 pm ET / 4 pm PT, join us as we kick off 10 days of raising A Million for Mamas with a star-studded virtual event co-hosted by Busy Philipps and Congresswoman Nikema Williams. Special guests include John Stamos, Abbott Elementary's Lisa Ann Walter, Hamilton’s Tamar Greene, Congresswoman Brittany Pettersen, Alaska Senator Cathy Giessel, Georgia Senator Nabilah Islam Parkes, and more!

By helping us raise $1 million in the next 10 days, you will help contribute to research and education on the structural barriers for hundreds of mamas already serving in office on both sides of the aisle across the country, and even more mamas who have an interest in stepping up in the years ahead.

Can we count on you to take these two actions right now?
