John, my heart breaks for the millions of Floridians who will continue to be affected by Ron DeSantis’ abortion ban.

Over 6 million Floridians – 57% of ballots cast – voted YES to codify the right to an abortion into law. But DeSantis had set a 60% threshold to pass. We won on the merits, and lost on a fascist technicality.

But let’s make one thing clear, John: I know in my heart that this fight is not over.

A clear majority of voters made their voices heard, in favor of freedom. Countless organizers, volunteers, and activists poured their heart and souls into restoring rights for millions of Floridians. We can’t give up on them.

Our fight for reproductive freedom in Florida goes on. And it can start with a wave of donations to folks doing the direct, on-the-ground work of providing care.

Organizations like Florida Access Network are advocating for reproductive justice, providing Floridians with logistical support and pathways to abortion access. After this week, they need our support now more than ever.
