Now is not the time to hesitate or retreat -- as Trump prepares to take office, now is the time to fight! There is no doubt that Trump and his extremist government is planning an all-out assault on the rights of the people on many fronts. The Biden-Harris administration's disastrous record in office allowed Trump to prevail in the election, but the majority of people still reject the far-right policies he is set to implement. Together, we can organize a massive fight back movement to stop him. The first step is on Inauguration Day, January 20th, when people in hundreds of cities across the country will take to the streets in a national day of action against Trump's extreme-right, billionaire agenda. This Giving Tuesday, I am writing to ask you to make a contribution to building this movement.

For 23 years, the ANSWER Coalition has been on the front lines of the struggle against war and racism. That struggle has been through many ups and downs, victories and setbacks. We are going into the Trump era with this accumulated experience and with a sense of determination to face whatever comes. The fight begins on Day One, with the "We Fight Back" protests taking place nationwide to coincide with Trump taking the oath of office. 

Trump wants to wage war on immigrant families, setting up massive prison camps in the desert to carry out an unprecedented wave of deportations. He wants to hand over public education, social security, Medicare and so much more to private corporations so that his billionaire friends can profit. He wants to shred the rights of Black America and turn back the clock on the social progress stemming from the Civil Rights revolution of the 1950s and 60s. But with your help, we will be able to meet this challenge.

And the dramatic developments of course will not be confined to the United States. Right now in Syria, so-called "rebels" backed by the U.S. government are engaged in a lightening offensive to overthrow the government. These forces are led by al-Qaeda, and they want to shred all rights for women, religious minorities, and anyone who disagrees with their extreme fundamentalism. If they succeed, it will be a major blow to the Palestinian struggle and a victory for the Israeli regime.

On the campaign trail, Trump pretended to be pro-peace and pledged to avert "World War Three". But he will do exactly the opposite. He is stocking his cabinet with the most extreme war hawks you can imagine like Marco Rubio and Pete Hegseth. We in the ANSWER Coalition have always made it clear, to have justice inside the United States, we have to end the U.S. empire. Just like you, the majority of people stand against the endless wars.
