I’m reaching out with an update on The Organizing Accelerator, Groundwork’s cutting-edge fellowship and leadership development program in partnership with the NAACP.

We just wrapped up our second year, and we’re excited to share results with the supporters who made it all possible.

This year, we supported 16 fellows from historically underrepresented regions of the country. Over 250 candidates applied — a testament to the deep need for this opportunity in Groundwork’s target regions.

Fellows attended in-person and virtual gatherings to deepen professional development, expand their skills during training sessions, and create invaluable connections with other organizers.

This type of long-term investment in grassroots organizers is often ignored in the Deep South, Appalachia, and the Plains — but thanks to folks like you who pitch in what they can, we’re changing the narrative.

Powered by grassroots contributions, The Organizing Accelerator gives emerging activists access to essential tools and knowledge needed to pursue progress, achieve their goals, and defend our democracy.

That’s why we’re increasing our budget to expand The Organizing Accelerator even further and welcome more fellows next year — when local organizing will be more important than ever.
