Specific steps to lower healthcare prices and protect Montanans with pre-existing conditions

I’m excited to share with you my
Blueprint for Action on Healthcare ([link removed]) . As Attorney General, I'll lower healthcare prices and protect Montanans with pre-existing conditions.

The Attorney General has a huge role in ensuring healthcare is affordable, and that we’re treated fairly in the healthcare system.

And the wrong Attorney General can make your healthcare worse--or even take it away.

The biggest threat to healthcare right now is the lawsuit Republican Attorneys General are pushing to eliminate the Affordable Care Act. If they’re successful, hundreds of thousands of Montanans with pre-existing conditions would be denied potentially life-saving care by insurance companies.

That’s wrong. As Attorney General, I’ll personally intervene in the case and fight to stop it.

The Attorney General can also hold pharmaceutical corporations accountable by enforcing our current laws against price gouging and unfair business practices. Big Pharma uses loopholes and other schemes to force Montanans to pay unconscionable prices for their life-saving medications, like insulin. This is the job of the Attorney General, and I’ll enforce our laws to stop price gouging.

I’ve developed a detailed
BLUEPRINT ([link removed]) for how we’ll accomplish these goals:
* Protect Montanans with preexisting conditions

* Crack down on price fixing by pharmaceutical corporations

* Review all prescription drug price increases for deceptive practices

* Enforce price gouging laws on essential medicines during COVID-19 pandemic

* Stand up for nurses, doctors, and other frontline workers for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

* Fight surprise medical billing and deceptive practices by insurance corporations

* Stay honest to Montanans by refusing all money from big pharma and health insurance PACs

I’m the only Attorney General candidate--of either party--who hasn’t taken a dime from corporate-linked PACs, including insurance corporations or Big Pharma.

That’s what it’s going to take to win back the Attorney General’s office for Montanans. An Attorney General committed to representing us, not corporate interests.
