Dear friend,
As the Vice President of Emergency Response at Mercy Corps, I help ensure

firsthand the impact your generosity and commitment has made in the lives
of millions of people.
Your commitment to Mercy Corps makes
it possible for team members to have all the tools necessary to help

In Gaza, Mercy Corps team members work in tandem with partner
organizations to meet the urgent needs of people facing displacement and
hunger. Through this partnership, Mercy Corps distributed food kits and
hygiene kits following the escalating conflict in the Middle East.
As conditions worsen and the impact on communities grows, Mercy Corps has
also been tending to the mental health needs of children and young people
impacted by the conflict. Mercy Corps and partners hosted a Positive Youth
Engagement workshop to provide mental health as psychosocial support to
children, mothers, and caretakers.
Since October 2023, Mercy Corps has provided support to 172,000 people in
Gaza and continues to call for an immediate ceasefire for the safe return
of hostages and access to humanitarian aid.

[ [link removed] ]Through Mercy Corps’ support with seed and fertilizers, farmers in
Sudan look forward to a strong harvest season to improve food Â
insecurity in the country.
Â
As Sudan continues to grapple with a humanitarian crisis caused by violent
conflict, Mercy Corps is supporting communities and providing critical
resources for a sustainable and Sudanese-led approach to curbing the food
crisis.
Currently, Mercy Corps is supplying farmers with fertilizers and seeds to
help increase the yield in the growing and harvesting season. As farmers
produce more crops, they can provide food for their families and sell the
surplus to improve their livelihoods.
Mercy Corps is working side-by-side with local farms to improve food
security across Sudan.
Your commitment to Mercy Corps inspires team
members to respond to emergencies while helping their communities face
challenges like food insecurity, climate change, and conflict. When we
take action, everything changes — children can cope with trauma, families’
urgent needs are met, and communities become more resilient.

impact for families in Gaza, Sudan and beyond. Make a gift today to
amplify Mercy Corps’ impact around the world.
Sincerely,
Whitney Elmer
