In our roles as Special Olympics Global Ambassadors, we are so incredibly fortunate to advocate for inclusion and dignity for people with ID, spread awareness about the power of sports to build character and community, and of course spend time with AMAZING athletes! Earlier this year, we were delighted to welcome Special Olympics athletes to the world premiere in Hollywood of The Garfield Movie, which Chris starred in!

Our exciting and fun-filled experience on the “orange carpet” at this Hollywood movie premiere was a reminder of a truth we know you hold in your heart, too: People with ID belong everywhere, and deserve every opportunity to excel.

That’s what makes Special Olympics the global force for good that it has been since 1968, when Katherine’s grandmother, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, founded this extraordinary organization. Since the beginning, everyone, regardless of their abilities or background, has had a place in our movement. Everyone has the chance to become a teammate and leader, learn healthy habits and new skills, and grow into a champion – on and off the field.
