Dear Friend,

I had a message set to go for Giving Tuesday. Then I realized something. I do a not-so-great job of sharing all that we are working on with your support. I tend to deal with all the significant challenges we face by pushing forward and moving to the next opportunity to make change.

Earlier today I had the opportunity to speak at the Carnegie Foundation for Middle East Peace on a topic I know you care about - the silencing of pro-Palestine speech [[link removed]] - not just in the U.S., but in too many places across the globe. I joined this important conversation because I authored a chapter for the forthcoming Suppressing Dissent: Shrinking Civic Space, Transnational Repression and Palestine–Israel [[link removed]] . This important text will be available on December 5, and the eBook version is downloadable. It's something you can share with family, friends, allies, and those looking to stand for their First Amendment rights. You made AAI's contribution to this work possible. And this is just a small example of how your support makes an impact on the issues you care about.

So, on this Giving Tuesday, when so much is at stake in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Sudan, and here at home, I want to start our fundraising by sharing this work with you because you made it possible.

If you can support our work on this Giving Tuesday please know that the donation you make will be matched, dollar for dollar, by a generous supporter who shares your values. That means that ANY GIFT today, December 3/Giving Tuesday will double AAI's ability to fight for Palestinian liberation, Lebanese sovereignty, voting rights, civil liberties, and communities free of hatred and bigotry.

Thank you,

Maya
