Dear John,
My name is Kristine, and I'm Kathleen's sister -
you heard from her earlier this morning. Before I share more of our
family's story with you, I wanted to remind you that in honour
of Giving Tuesday, all donations to Parkinson Canada will have DOUBLE
the impact thanks to a generous gift from the late Jeanne Olliver,
while matching funds last.

DOUBLE MY IMPACT!

You've already met my brother-in-law, Danny, through my sister
Kathleen's emails. For all the years I've known
him, physicality has been part of who Danny is - from sailing,
to mining, to working construction, to running marathons. I
couldn't tell you how deep underground he went as a miner, but
I know it was dangerous work that took tremendous courage, energy and
strength.
But that's PC-EOY24-EmailBanners-1500x500-GTEmail4-SpotImage
just how Danny was
- and still
is -
today.
When I visited him
in chronic care the
other week, he was
on the floor doing
push-ups, just
weeks away from his
80th birthday!
He's still so
active -
whether it's
stepping onto the
beach supported by
his walker;
swinging on the
golf course with
focused
coordination, or
training with
weights to maintain
his strength. His
commitment to keep
going is simply
awe-inspiring. How
could it not be?!
Every day, Danny shows us what it's like to pursue what's
still possible. Parkinson's is part of his life, but frankly
he's redefined what that looks like, so he can continue to
safely do the things that are most important to him. And
there's tremendous power in that. Which makes you pretty
powerful as a supporter of Parkinson Canada!
The last thing I'll say is that our family has nearly 20 years
of experience with Parkinson's. We've learned a lot along
the way, and Parkinson Canada has been a big part of that. Other
families are a lot earlier in their journey and need the support and
resources that will help them define what living with
Parkinson's will look like for them.
That's what your Giving Tuesday donation can help to do,
John. And it
can help in a big way today, because of the match that will turn
every $1 donated into $2 of impact. But only while matching funds
last, so be sure to give early!!!
Please make your Giving Tuesday donation right now, and help families
redefine life with Parkinson's - like mine has.

I hope this celebration of a beloved family member has provided some
inspiration in your own life! Thank you for your kindness on this
special day of giving.
Sincerely,
Kristine Robinson
Sister-in-law to Danny, who is living with Parkinson's
