It's Giving Tuesday – and so far, 2024 has been a year. A year of breaking
records of member engagement with over 83,000 GOTV volunteers, a year of
heavy loss, and a year of big wins with 51 of our endorsed candidates
rising to victory.
We thank you for working with us in a movement to build a nation where
everyone can thrive through the ups and downs of change. And we thank you
for not giving up.
We said it: Moms – and people with moms – don't give up. Ever. We aren't
going anywhere, and we know how to work hard. We'll never stop fighting
for our kids and communities.
It might take longer than we expected or want, but make no mistake:
Together, we're going to build a future where our families and our kids,
and ALL families and kids, can THRIVE!

We've shown time-and-time-again that when moms organize and work hard
together, we WIN, and this year was no exception. In 2024, while our
nation had a big loss at the top of the ballot, here are some
groundbreaking victories that MomsRising donors and volunteers like you
helped to achieve:
* Helped 51 congressional candidates who support moms and care policies
win their elections;
* Elected two Black women to the United States Senate at the same time,
for the first time ever – Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE) and Angela
Alsobrooks (MD);
* Played a role in winning care victories on the ballot in red, purple,
and blue states, including Alaska, Missouri, Nebraska, and Washington
state;
* Helped secure wins on 7 out of 10 state abortion ballot measures –
Arizona, Colorado, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, and New York;
* And, just in: We helped defeat the appointment of a terrifyingly
unqualified Matt Gaetz from becoming the United States Attorney
General.

This December, you are NOT going to see a lot of endless fundraisers from
MomsRising, so let's make the most of this one!
We have so much other critical and time-sensitive work to do. We've got
our hands full working to stop Trump's harmful and unqualified nominees
for key government positions (Linda McMahon, former head of World
Wrestling Entertainment, for Secretary of Education?!?). We’re also
working to protect key policies and programs (and communities) – like the
Affordable Care Act, which serves as the healthcare for tens of millions
of people. We’re also still proactively working to move forward tools for
families to succeed at the state and federal levels, like affordable
childcare and maternal health equity. We're busy listening and
strategizing about how to grow connections with each other, and bring even
more people into our movement. We're developing new strategic initiatives
to fight disinformation. We’re also working hard to help shape the
national narrative by sharing our stories. And we’re building up and
expanding our on-the-ground programs across the country; and more.
Suffice to say: We’re busy fighting for our democracy and our families.
