ADL Leaders Visit Amsterdam and Other European Cities
In response to the

pogrom in Amsterdam targeting visiting Israeli soccer fans, ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt and SVP for International Affairs Marina Rosenberg,

visited Amsterdam for
[link removed]
a series of high-level meetings , including with the
[link removed]
Dutch Prime Minister , Foreign Minister and Justice Minister. Jonathan also
[link removed]
published an op-ed about how the events in Amsterdam are a warning for American Jews.
Jonathan and Marina traveled to Paris
[link removed]
to stand in solidarity with Israel’s national soccer team as they played a match against France. In both countries, they also met with the leadership of the Jewish community.
In addition, ADL Board Chair Ben Sax, Jonathan, Marina and other ADL staff led an ADL leadership mission to Berlin and Brussels for a series of high-level meetings and events. In Berlin, the delegation met with prominent leaders including

Coexistence Progress in Abu Dhabi
George Selim, SVP for Public Affairs, and Carole Nuriel, Senior Director for Israel and MENA, traveled to Abu Dhabi to participate in the first Manara Center annual event showcasing projects done by students from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Pakistan, Israel and Nigeria. The event was a milestone for the Manara Center, which was founded in 2023 - with ADL as a flagship partner – in order to promote peace and coexistence.

Israel and the Middle East
ADL welcomed the announcement of

a ceasefire in Israel and Lebanon . ADL said it hopes the agreement will bring calm, safety and security to Israeli cities and towns in the North and Center of the country, and finally allow the over 60,000 Israeli residents of northern communities to return home after nearly 14 months of displacement.
ADL expressed shock at the

brutal abduction and murder of Chabad Rabbi Zvi Kogan in the UAE saying that the incident highlights the stark antisemitic and anti-Israel dangers faced by Jewish communities worldwide. Jonathan and Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Manara Center,

published a joint op-ed in response to Rabbi Kogan’s murder, redoubling ADL’s and Manara’s commitment to coexistence and harmony.

pecial webinar panel to commemorate the Day to Mark the Departure or Expulsion of Jews from Arab Lands. The panel, which featured several Task Force members and other experts, included personal family stories and a focus on the historical background of the expulsion, as well as stories of hope and courage about Arab individuals and communities who protected their Jewish neighbors.

ADL thanked the Biden Administration for

vetoing a UN Security Council resolution which failed to meaningfully address the issue of the hostages being held by Hamas in Gaza.
ADL welcomed

US sanctions against Hamas officials based in Turkey who are involved in facilitating terrorist activities.
Europe
ADL hosted eight Words to Action Europe trainings for 190 young Jews in Hungary, Austria, Sweden and Switzerland. Three ADL trainers also joined ADL’s leadership mission in Berlin to present about the program's impact on Jewish youths across Europe.
Latin America
ADL delivered 17 Words to Action trainings to 300 students from Argentina, Chile and Uruguay.
