Giving Tuesday is a global movement celebrating the generosity of people like you. As you choose which organizations and causes to support today, please help transform the life of someone less fortunate by including Consumer Action.

Your support helps us to educate and empower individuals and families—including underserved and limited-English-speaking consumers—to pull themselves out of debt, avoid scams and fraud, make wise choices in the financial marketplace, and build a more financially secure future. It also enables our work to pass laws and regulations to stop predatory lenders, scammers, robocallers, and unethical companies from taking advantage of you and those you care about.

Your donation enables our staff to create multilingual publications and produce educational videos and webinars on crucial personal finance and consumer protection topics, available at no cost to consumers and community educators. It allows us to publish our free monthly SCAM GRAM, alerting readers to the latest in frauds and scams. It makes it possible for our outreach team to give hands-on training to community-based organizations across the country on how to help the vulnerable consumers they work with (low-income households, limited-English-speakers, domestic violence survivors, veterans, small business owners, disabled individuals, seniors, and others) overcome financial and marketplace challenges. And it enables our advocacy staff to speak out against corporate wrongdoing and speak up for consumers whose voices would not otherwise be heard by lawmakers and regulators.

But we couldn’t do all this without your support. Your donation of just $30 today helps us provide the resources to educate a young military veteran on how to select a legitimate job-training program; free a single mother from the shackles of high-interest payday loans; help a low-income individual to access affordable health insurance; keep food on the table for a struggling immigrant family; and teach a senior how to recognize and avoid an attempt to scam them out of their life savings.

Financial empowerment is truly a life-changing gift that keeps on giving. From all of us at Consumer Action, thank you, and happy holidays!
