Dear advocate,
This Giving Tuesday, join OCA in celebrating 35 years of empowering AANHPI youth through the transformative OCA National Internship Program!Â
Â
Through our Ignite the Future: Celebrating 35 Years of AANHPI Youth Empowerment campaign, we honor this program’s incredible legacy. Over the past several decades, it has not only created opportunities but shaped generations of leaders who continue to uplift our Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities.Â

I’m so proud of the steps we’ve made together in recent years. With your support, we’ve doubled intern stipends, introduced housing scholarships for low-income students, and ensured our interns have access to essential resources like professional attire and bedding. We’ve also expanded access for immigrant, non-citizen, and undocumented students—empowering them to pursue careers in public service, government affairs, and beyond.Â
Â
For over 35 years, the OCA Internship Program has been a launchpad for young leaders who are now shaping the future. Many of our alumni are executive directors, legislative staffers, and industry leaders who champion AANHPI voices every day. Knowing the impact this program has had, I’m excited to see what we can achieve together in the years ahead.Â
Â
This Giving Tuesday, I’m asking for your support to ensure the next generation of AANHPI leaders have the same opportunities. Every contribution—big or small—makes a difference in equipping our interns with the resources they need to thrive.Â
