AMERICA LEADS THE WORLD IN COVID-19 TESTING:
On Monday, President Trump announced that the United States is surpassing 10 million COVID-19 tests performed this week, which is close to double any other nation in the world. Approximately 300,000 tests a day are conducted in the U.S – almost doubling daily testing from just three weeks ago. Going forward, the federal government is providing $11 billion to states to help them make available the necessary number of tests to their residents. More than 80,000 people have died from COVID-19 in the United States, with about 1.4 million confirmed cases. Thankfully, over 230,000 people in the U.S. have recovered from the virus. |
BOTTOM LINE: |
President Trump has acted quickly and aggressively to combat COVID-19 since the pandemic arrived to the United States, and he is doing everything in his power to ensure Americans are safe and secure in this crisis. Unfortunately, much of the mainstream media has acted as Democratic operatives throughout this emergency and have been obsessed with attacking President Trump. As I mentioned in a recent op-ed, President Trump and the leaders in his administration such as Senior Advisor Jared Kushner have saved countless lives by ensuring that medical institutions and professionals throughout the
nation are adequately equipped to fight this invisible enemy. It would be nice if those on the left and their allies in the mainstream media were for once honest with Americans and acknowledged the progress President Trump and his administration have achieved in combating COVID-19. |

Department of Justice Drops Michael Flynn’s Case: Last week, the Department of Justice decided to drop its case against former National Security Advisor General Michael Flynn. In 2017, Flynn pled guilty to lying to the FBI in connection with the Russia investigation, but filed to withdraw his guilty plea this past January. Recently unsealed documents have revealed that FBI agents discussed the potential to force Flynn to lie while interviewing him. FBI's former head of counterintelligence Bill Priestap made notes after discussing Flynn with former FBI Director
James Comey and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. One of the key passages asked what the goal of questioning Flynn was: “Truth/Admission or to get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired?" After several years of pain and suffering due to corruption within the FBI, General Flynn will hopefully soon be able to rest easy with his family knowing that justice finally prevailed. The judge overseeing the case still has to make the decision to dismiss it, but the future is looking bright for General Flynn. |
BOTTOM LINE: |
General Flynn is an American hero who became an unfortunate victim of the Russia witch hunt intended to take down President Trump. Rather than accept defeat in the face of crooked senior law enforcement officials such as Comey and McCabe, Flynn fought back and left the DOJ with no options but to drop the charges. President Trump has said time and time again that corrupt actors within the FBI and the broader Obama Administration were attempting to take down him and everyone on his team, and it appears that we now have the smoking gun to prove it. The coup to upend President Trump’s administration has finally come to light, and it is important to ensure that no other administration suffers from a similar debacle in the future. Let’s hope that U.S. Attorney for the
District of Connecticut John Durham’s investigation into the Russia hoax unearths the full truth, including what former Vice President Biden and President Obama knew and when they knew it. |

Special House Races: Yesterday’s special election for a House of Representatives seat in California appears to have gone to the Republican candidate in a potential upset victory. The Golden State’s 25th District includes northern Los Angeles County and eastern Ventura County. Democratic Rep. Katie Hill defeated former Republican Rep. Steve Knight for the seat in 2018, but Hill resigned last year after she admitted to an affair with a campaign staffer. The current race is between Republican Mike Garcia – a former U.S. Naval Officer – and Democrat Christy Smith. Mail-in ballots will be accepted until Friday, so it may be later in the week until we have a declared winner. The race was expected to be an easy Democratic win, but as
of last night, Garcia was leading by approximately 12 points with more than 70 percent of precincts reporting. Additionally, a special House race in Wisconsin has already been called in favor of Republican candidate Tom Tiffany. As of last night, he was leading with 57 percent of the vote – a very good sign for Republicans in a swing state heading into November. President Trump won Wisconsin in 2016 and Democrats had been hoping for a strong showing in the state, since it is vital to capturing the presidency later this year. |
BOTTOM LINE: |
Both the California and Wisconsin races are positive indicators for President Trump and the GOP. California has been solidly blue for a long time, and for all intents and purposes that race should be an easy win for the Democratic Party. In addition, a big win for Tom Tiffany in Wisconsin is a great indication for Republicans and a terrible showing for Democrats hoping to flip a state President Trump won in 2016. Of course, these series of unfortunate events can be expected from a party that has become increasingly out of touch with the American people and is led by the self-described gaffe machine Joe Biden. At the current rate, Republicans are looking at a big win this November. |

President Trump Outraises Joe Biden: President Trump and the RNC raised a combined $61.7 million in April. In comparison, former Vice President Joe Biden and the DNC raised a smaller combined $60.5 million. In 2019, President Trump and the RNC raised a total $463 million and look to be continuing the trend with $255 million cash currently on hand. Democrats have not revealed how much they have on hand yet in April, but they only had $62.3 million at the end of March. So far in 2020, the president and Republicans have raised nearly $274 million. At this same time in 2012, President Obama and Democrats had only raised $171 million.
President Trump has a great connection with the American people and that shows in the fundraising results. More people are excited for President Trump than they were for President Obama during his re-election, and they are certainly more enthusiastic for President Trump than they are for Sleepy Joe. As we have said before, Biden simply doesn’t have the energy, charisma, or stamina to run a campaign against President Trump, and it’s only going to get worse for Biden as time passes. |

Uncle Joe Lies: On Friday, former Vice President Joe Biden lied when he said that President Trump’s “main measure of economic progress” for the past three years had been the stock market. Biden added that the COVID-19 pandemic “hit harder and will last longer because Donald Trump spent the last three years undermining the core pillars of our economic strength” – another lie from Uncle Joe. President Trump never solely relied on the stock market to determine economic strength. In his first three years in office, 7 million jobs were added to the economy and the unemployment rate reached 50-year lows. The president also worked with Mexico and Canada to create the new USMCA trade deal to replace NAFTA, which is expected
to add 600,000 jobs and more than $230 billion to the American economy. President Trump also forged new trade deals with China, South Korea, Japan, and other countries, which will bring in hundreds of billions of dollars to the U.S. economy. |
BOTTOM LINE: |
President Trump is the reason the economy hasn’t collapsed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. He worked hard to ensure that a larger percentage of Americans were in the workforce than had been in decades, and he negotiated with our adversaries and our allies to create new trade deals that are bringing countless jobs back to our shores. President Trump created a cushion so that an event like the COVID-19 pandemic wouldn’t completely ravage the economy and set us up for a quick recovery. Keep in mind, most of the job losses during the crisis have been due to furloughs, so many people do have a job to go back to. Joe Biden lied to the American people when he stated that President Trump weakened our “economic strength.” In reality, President Trump’s
foresight to plan ahead is the reason the economy is poised for a strong rebound. |
