U.S. Navy Veteran Chris was a frequent guest at Jefferson City's Room at the Inn when he heard about CMCA's housing outreach event. Due to his life circumstances and inconsistent housing, he struggled sustaining employment, and his mental health was suffering.
At our housing outreach event, he met CMCA staff, who worked with him for hours to complete a Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing voucher, which led to him getting the keys to his very own apartment just five days later.
In the months that followed, with consistent housing and support, Chris made big life changes, working consistently, fixing his truck and reconnecting with his daughter. |
