The results are in, and Republican Mike Garcia has won California’s 25th Congressional District House seat in a special election on Tuesday of this week. Previously held by a Democrat, Garcia has successfully flipped the district, making it the first time that a Republican has taken a Democratic - held seat in the Golden State since 1998. Wisconsin also saw a Republican win this week. Tom Tiffany handily won the special election in Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District, proving once again that there is still strong support for President Trump and the GOP in the midwest.

In 2016, President Trump took Wisconsin in his race against Hillary Clinton, the first time a Republican candidate won Wisconsin since 1984. Republicans flipping a seat in California shines a light on the Democrats’ inability to maintain control of their party and keep their supporters.

These victories are a great sign for President Trump and the Republican Party heading into November. They underscore that Americans all across the country fully back the president’s leadership through, and out, of this coronavirus crisis

As we draw closer to voting day, it is looking more and more likely that President Trump and Republicans will dominate this election.
