In 2018, Ireland made a devastating choice when it voted to repeal the 8th Amendment, which had long safeguarded the lives of unborn children. Since then, over 48,000 unborn lives have been lost to abortion - 10,033 in 2023 alone. This is not just a statistic; it is a tragedy that affects us all, a stark reminder of the urgent need to stand firm for life, now more than ever. 

But even in the face of this darkness, there is hope. And that hope is alive in the launch of Life Link, an inspiring, all-Ireland pregnancy care initiative that is ready to ignite change. This ground-breaking project is a bold step forward in offering compassionate, life-affirming support to women facing unplanned pregnancies - empowering them to choose life and cultivating a culture that cherishes every child, born and unborn. 

I am writing to invite you to be part of this crucial moment. Join us for the official launch of Life Link on Thursday, 5th December, 2024, at 7.30pm, in the Mount Errigal Hotel, Letterkenny. 

This is not just another event - this is a call to action. Your presence and support are vital in turning the tide. Together, we can build a future where life is the first choice, not the last resort. Our mission is to make pregnancy care centres the first choice for women facing unexpected pregnancies - places where they can find practical support, compassionate care, and a real alternative to abortion. 

At the launch, we will hear about the amazing work of Stanton Healthcare, an incredible organisation that is already showing the way forward by offering women quality care, emotional support, and a future filled with hope. Their work is a beacon of light, and we must follow this example to build a culture of life in Ireland. 

Our long-term goal is clear: to replace abortion centres with life-affirming centres that treat both women and their children with dignity, respect and the quality care they deserve. We are on the cusp of something transformative, but we need your help to make it a reality. The fight for life has never been more urgent. Together, we can ensure that every woman facing an unplanned pregnancy has the support she needs to choose life for herself and her child.
