Dear John, 
For years, I have been fighting back against the Chinese Communist Party, an evil regime with a goal of world domination. 

It was often a lonely fight, but the Chinese coronavirus has finally put the danger we face into perspective. 

While thousands of people were dying, the communist Chinese regime lied about the severity of the disease, covered it up on the world stage, and imprisoned those who tried to tell the truth. 

They even tried to blame the United States for the deadly outbreak. 

It is unwise, irresponsible, and simply unthinkable that our leaders in Washington continue to allow the United States to be at the mercy of communist China. The godless communists have taken advantage of us for far too long.

When I was the United States Attorney General, I worked alongside President Trump to:

* Impose tariffs on the Chinese regime to save American steelmaking manufacturers;

* Defend the agriculture industry from dangerous Chinese imports; and

* Crack down on Chinese lawbreakers by starting the China Initiative, which has already resulted in over 50 prosecutions and more than 1,000 investigations against Chinese entities who are breaking our laws and stealing from our companies.

Even before that, I advanced legislation in the U.S. Senate to stop China’s currency manipulation and artificial cheapening of Chinese-made products.

I have a proven track record of being tough on China, and now I need your help to continue that good work ([link removed]) . 

I will work for—and we must have—an historic resetting of our relationship with China, based on realism.

It is time to step up our efforts against the communist Chinese regime, whose lies and deceit about the Wuhan Virus has already led to the loss of more than 30 million American jobs, and plunged the world into economic turmoil.

We can no longer allow the vast majority of our medical equipment and essential drugs to be made in China, industries which were shipped overseas at the behest of corporate lobbyists in D.C.

My “Betting on America” plan will ensure the safety and health of all Americans, by bringing our medical manufacturing capability back to the United States.

Under my plan, at least 75% of medicines, medical equipment, and medical supplies purchased with federal dollars will be made in the United States. 

All federal agencies that purchase these items will be purchasing them from American manufacturers again. 

There is no better time for “Made in America” to again become a household slogan and a source of pride.

Together, we can put Americans to work manufacturing medical equipment and supplies, and end our dangerous reliance on China for these essential goods.

My opponent Tommy Tuberville does not have a plan for dealing with the Chinese regime. 

He made that clear when, just a few weeks ago, he said, “We can’t worry about China right now.”

He said, “Everything’s controlled by China. But that’ll take care of itself.”

Tommy is flat wrong. Our China problem will not “take care of itself.”

He would be exactly the kind of senator that the Chinese communists want.

We do not have the luxury of ignoring a hostile foreign power. 

Governing is not like coaching a football team.

If we lose our national sovereignty to China now, there is no “next season” to redeem ourselves. There’s no running away to coach at some new school, either.
