The coming years will not be easy. The issues that WOLA advocates for—including human rights, migration, democratic governance, rule of law, and gender and racial justice—will come under attack. Our allies in Congress will be challenged at every turn. And throughout the hemisphere, anti-democratic actors will feel more emboldened.

I can make you this promise: In spite of it all, WOLA will be there.

We will be there to stand up to abuses of power. We will be there to defend migrants’ and refugees’ rights. We will be there to propose fact-based solutions to human rights challenges whenever they arise. We will be there to act as a bridge between Washington and Latin America, as we have for the last 50 years.
