From humble beginnings to historic wins, DxE has come a long way in our mission to create revolutionary social and political change for animals.

It’s remarkable how much can change in a year.

* DxE activists were facing felonies for investigating and rescuing dogs from Ridglan Farms beagle breeding facility. *Now, all charges have been dropped and the tables have turned* as activists and employee whistleblowers work to get a special prosecutor appointed to prosecute Ridglan for animal cruelty.
* We used to struggle to get attention about the harms of factory farms in Sonoma County. *Now, it’s the number one issue in the county.* We’ve made the issue so salient that the press is coming to us. In recent months, we secured over 100 press hits about these horrific facilities, including in major, national outlets.
* We held vigil after vigil outside Perdue’s Petaluma Poultry in an effort to raise awareness about their animal abuse. *Now, all their celebrity ambassadors have cut ties with them,* animals have been rescued from inside the slaughterhouse, and we’re preparing to go up against them in the Perdue Rescue Trial.
* For years, we protested the Golden Gate Fields horse racing track. *Now, Golden Gate Fields has shut down for good and we successfully passed Measure DD,* a ballot measure that prevents their return and makes Berkeley the first jurisdiction in the US to ban factory farms.
