The staff at Gileteni Methodist School in Inhambane, Mozambique, is in desperate need of textbooks for the 1,450 students at their school. Most of the textbooks the students currently use are over 15 years old. The school dreams of providing books in English, French and Portuguese for their students ages 12-18.
These textbooks will be sourced in Mozambique and on average cost $.92 a book. The goal is to provide 10 textbooks per student — 14,050 textbooks total for the school. This will cost approximately $13,000. Can you help make this dream a reality?
$10 provides textbooks for 1 student
$20 provides textbooks for 2 students
$250 provides textbooks for 27 students
$500 provides textbooks for 54 students
The books will be purchased locally and kept in the library at the school. Hopefully, this will provide up to 10 more years of instructional material. Every gift brings us one step closer to filling these classrooms with current, comprehensive textbooks. Join us in investing in the next generation and empowering Mozambican students to thrive. Donate this Giving Tuesday and make a lasting impact!
