### Reforming Justice: Your Support in Action
The last two years at the Law Enforcement Action Partnership have been transformative. We've expanded our work, tackled new challenges, and made exciting strides in reimagining public safety. With so much happening, we haven’t always been able to keep you fully informed about the breadth of our efforts — especially on the legislative front.
A big part of our focus has been advancing our [**Community Responder Model**]([link removed]), a proven alternative to traditional policing for nonviolent 911 calls. Thanks to your support, we’ve partnered with several cities in the U.S., providing critical guidance to help make their streets safer and their responses more effective.
But that’s not all we’ve been up to. Over the past two years, we’ve been working tirelessly to push forward evidence-based policies that reduce the harm of the War on Drugs, prioritize harm reduction, and advocate for police accountability. From speaking out against the HALT Fentanyl Act at the federal level to supporting life-saving overdose prevention sites in states like Vermont, our efforts are changing lives and policies.

Today, on Giving Tuesday, we’re catching you up on what we’ve been doing — and inviting you to help us do even more. Throughout the day and this giving season, we’ll share the stories and impact behind our work—from legislative victories to personal stories from our speakers—culminating in the release of our 2023/2024 Impact Report.
Your belief in a smarter, fairer justice system fuels our work. With your support today, we’ll continue to advance these reforms and bring meaningful change to public safety nationwide. Let's keep building together.
In solidarity,
**Lt. Diane Goldstein (Ret.)**
**Executive Director**
