The North Carolina General Assembly returns again this week, taking advantage of one last chance to push through veto-proof legislation with the GOP Legislative Supermajority still in place—putting lifesaving policies that prevent gun violence at risk. Typically on #GivingTuesday, a global day of generosity, we would be calling on supporters like you to consider a donation to ensure our work continues as North Carolina battles high rates of gun violence.

NCGV Action staff is on alert, rallying our supporters to call on their representatives as bad bills come up for a vote this week and watching for any gun-related legislation.

Right now, there’s a disconnect between community voices and demands and leaders who are not leading. Public opinion in North Carolina overwhelmingly favors more and stricter gun violence prevention measures but we continue to see attempts to roll back protections like our concealed carry weapons permitting system.
