Hi John,
** Double your impact for economic justice from 3 to 10 December!
------------------------------------------------------------
For the next 7 days you have a unique opportunity to amplify your support for our campaigns and the movement driving them. We are participating in the Big Give Christmas Challenge, which means every online donation made from now until midday on 10 December will be doubled. Can you get involved by making a donation now?

** Building a movement for a fossil fuel treaty
------------------------------------------------------------
We urgently need the UK to step up and champion a globally just transition to renewables. But unless we change the course of the green transition, we will see big business use it as a cover to extract vital resources from global south countries on the terms they demand – locking in inequality and exploitation.
A key step is for the government to back global calls for a Fossil Fuel Treaty. This treaty aims to bring about a fair global exit plan from fossil fuels – a path for everyone from West Africa to West Cumbria to have access to affordable, reliable energy that doesn’t risk climate collapse or create extractive sacrifice zones.
With a powerful network of activists across the country, we’re ready to build grassroots momentum for this treaty. But we need your support to make it happen. This is your chance to help us raise double the funds! Get involved in the Big Give Christmas Challenge now:

** Your role in ending toxic trade deals for a just transition
------------------------------------------------------------
A world powered by renewables will be a world hungry for critical minerals. And mining for the key raw materials used in low-carbon technologies like solar panels and electric vehicles is often tied to human rights abuses, child labour, and widespread environmental destruction.
These exploitative practices are enabled by toxic international trade deals that incorporate ‘corporate courts,’ allowing companies to challenge and sue governments for millions if they feel their profits are at risk. When southern governments dare to confront multinational corporations over resource extraction, they often face significant legal and huge financial repercussions.
At Global Justice Now, we're dedicated to fighting for a just transition to renewable energy by urging the UK to join the Fossil Fuel Treaty. We also believe this effort must end toxic trade deals that allow wealthy nations to exploit essential resources in poorer countries on unequal terms. And I hope you’ll join us.
By getting involved in the Big Give, your online donation can have double the impact, helping advance our campaign to ensure that the green transition benefits everyone, not just the privileged few. Your donation can be doubled between now and midday on 10 December:

** Help pave the way for a sustainable future for all
------------------------------------------------------------
Together, we must make sure that fossil fuel giants and profit-driven corporations don’t hijack the green transition for resource grabs and profiteering. Alongside our partners, allies, and activist networks, we’re tirelessly pushing for the UK to support the Fossil Fuel Treaty while working to end toxic trade deals that enable exploitation and destruction. Your donation can help us:
* Mobilise public and political support for the Fossil Fuel Treaty through media coverage, highlighting stories from global south allies.
* Collaborate with international movements to ensure UK trade policies benefit global south countries most impacted by mineral mining.
* Build grassroot pressure for the Fossil Fuel Treaty through local councils, universities, and community groups, driving national government action.
* Secure cross-party parliamentary support for the Fossil Fuel Treaty and fairer trade rules that protect global south communities.
