We launched our Giving Tuesday fundraising drive on Saturday, with a goal of raising $50,000 to keep Common Dreams' progressive journalism strong during these dangerous times.

This year, Giving Tuesday is even more vital. Congress is about to give Donald Trump sweeping new authority to strip nonprofit news outlets like Common Dreams of our tax-exempt status.

Given our history of lifting up pro-Palestinian voices, exposing corporate crimes, and standing up to Trump, we must operate under the assumption that we will be targeted should this bill become law. And even if this bill is stopped, Trump will find other ways to come after those who dare to stand up to him.
