Dear John,
My name is Kathleen. Last week I sent you an email with the
incredible news that donations to Parkinson Canada will have 2X the
impact on Giving Tuesday - which is today!
Please give now so your donation will go TWICE as far, thanks to a
generous gift from the late Jeanne Olliver. Don't miss this
chance to DOUBLE your impact, while matching funds last!

I mentioned last week that my husband Danny lives with
Parkinson's. Our marriage is 52 years strong, and I have
witnessed how his lifestyle and fitness helped to delay the
progression following his diagnosis in 2007.
Danny has always had an adventurous spirit - that's what
led him to travel the world in his younger days, first as a British
Merchant Marine and then working deep in the mines of Australia, the
Yukon, and Ontario. It wasn't uncommon for him to finish a
mining shift and then go train for his next marathon!
Resilient and determined, Dan continued to play with courage, love
deeply, and make lasting strides even after his diagnosis. He raced
competitively, was (and still is!) a caring father to our children,
and of course participated in Parkinson Canada's SuperWalk
which has become a meaningful family tradition. Even today he is
active while living in chronic care - he walks
regularly and is continuing his physical exercise.
Your support of Parkinson Canada has helped our family redefine the
condition. We couldn't be more grateful for that, and for all
we now know about how to navigate it together.
That's why I'm asking you to make a Giving Tuesday
donation today, John.

Right now, there are families across the country seeking the same
information and connection mine once did. It's your support
that makes it possible for them to find it so they too can live
boldly, without letting Parkinson's define them.

Next week is Danny's 80th birthday. I can't think of a
better gift than to share with him today's fundraising results,
thanks to your generosity. And remember, your donation will have
TWICE the impact. Please give now, and show Danny you want to help
redefine Parkinson's too.
