My entire life, I’ve seen firsthand what Special Olympics makes possible – for the awe-inspiring athletes, for every dedicated coach, volunteer, and supporter, and for our whole society. 

My mother, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, believed in a world where each one of us is called by name, where there are countless different abilities but no disabilities. She lit the spark of a global movement of dignity, inclusion, and love, and it’s been the honor of my life to help sustain it alongside you. 

That’s because, in almost every country on Earth, Special Olympics remains a welcoming home for athletes of all abilities, ages, and backgrounds. A beacon of hope and belonging. But for every person with ID in the U.S. who has found Special Olympics, there are still 13 more who haven’t had the chance to get off the sidelines.
