The 2024 election was a doozy to say the least,
John. 🙃
With Republicans now in control for the next two years, we think it’s
important in times like these to remember that our movement was still able
to score some BIG wins!
VoteVets — a progressive organization that runs veterans for office up and
down the ballot saw 142 of their candidates win races across the country!
If you ask us, that’s a pretty big deal.
At the federal level, Andy Kim, Elissa Slotkin, and Ruben Gallego are on
their way to the Senate. In the House, several VoteVets endorsed
candidates won their races to take the fight directly to the MAGA right.
In North Carolina — a battleground state, Dante Pittman won his election
to the state House — breaking the GOP’s supermajority and ensuring
Gov-elect Josh Stein will have more power to thwart the GOP’s agenda.
John, it's easy
to feel discouraged right now. Trust us — we get it. But remaining
discouraged hasn't gotten anyone anywhere.
Every victory, no matter how big or small counts. And as we look ahead to
a looming second Trump term, the fact that VoteVets candidates were still
able to win shows that not all is lost.
Make no mistake,
John. We are going to fight
like hell against Trump and the MAGA right — but VoteVets will need your
help if they're going to stay in the fight.
