If you’ve read up on Project 2025 [[link removed]] , saw who Trump nominated as Secretary of Education [[link removed]] , or are reading his continued threats to dismantle the Dept. of Education and voucherize federal funding [[link removed]] for education, you know we are in for some very tough battles ahead. We know that children of color, students with special needs, and LGBTQ+ students will need protection at the local level, and there will be massive attacks on public education itself. However, we are organized, we are deeply connected across Arizona and nationally, and we are planning closely and strategically with local and national organizations to withstand these attacks.
We will be on the front lines, and that’s where we belong. We and our network of incredible volunteers have been readying for these fights, and we won’t back down no matter how challenging it gets.
