John,
Today, I released my recommended state budget for the next two years. It’s a direct reflection of my continued and steadfast commitment to making progress on Oregonians’ priorities.
I will always take our greatest challenges head on and be committed to producing results for the entire state. These challenges, by their very nature, cannot be solved overnight. They require focus, discipline, and persistence.
That’s what I intend to do in the second half of my term, and it’s the guiding principle of my recommended budget.
My vision for our state is simple. Over the next two years, I want to build on the progress we’ve made, and create an Oregon where…
…NO ONE HAS TO SLEEP OUTSIDE. We need to address the housing and homelessness crisis with every tool at our disposal.
…HELP IS THERE WHEN YOU NEED IT NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE. We must increase our mental health and substance use treatment capacity and the trained workforce needed to address the behavioral health crisis.
…THE PROMISE OF EVERY CHILD IS REALIZED. We have to build upon our improvements to education, and ensure every Oregon child has what they need to thrive.
…WE TAKE ACTION TO PROTECT OUR VALUES. It’s imperative that we take the necessary steps to protect reproductive rights, our climate, immigrants, and civil rights.
This is the blueprint of our next two years, and I’m proud to have you on the team to see it through. Will you add your name today to show your support for my new budget?
Thanks for being on the team,
Tina
