Mountain Plover.

Birds are at a tipping point—but ahead of Giving Tuesday, you can do 2X as much to help. ([link removed])
Of all of our 'shorebirds,' the Mountain Plover is the one most disconnected from the shore, generally living miles from water in the dry country of the west. They're facing climate threats from spring heat waves that endanger young birds in the nest and wildfires that incinerate habitat and may prevent it from recovering. Worse, alongside 69 other species, the Mountain Plover was named in the latest State of the Birds Report at a “Tipping Point,” having already lost at least half of its population in the last 50 years and is on track to lose another 50% in the coming decades.

But there’s hope in action—and we have practical, effective solutions to protect birds in need like the Mountain Plover. Will you be one of the 87 friends we’re counting on to join us with a monthly donation today to power our best work on behalf of birds? Right now, your first gift will go 2X as far, thanks to a special early Giving Tuesday match. ([link removed])

With more than a century of expertise under our wing and dedicated friends like you by our side, we can create a safer future for birds and people. And truth be told, we already are. Together, we’re restoring and improving the resilience of important landscapes, successfully advocating for climate legislation at the state and federal level, transforming communities into places where birds flourish, and securing space, clean air, and clean water that birds and people need to live and thrive.

But we can—and we must—do more while we can still make a difference. So please, celebrate Giving Tuesday early with Audubon today and help us reach our big 1,000 donor goal by midnight tomorrow. Start your monthly donation now while your first gift will be matched, up to $50,000. ([link removed])
