Support Indigenous Lifeways on #GivingTuesday!

Tomorrow is #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back and making a meaningful impact. It’s a day that unites millions of people around the world to support the causes that matter most and celebrate the power of generosity. Last year, over 34 million people in the U.S. and more than 90 countries worldwide participated in this global movement—now, it’s your turn to join thousands of individuals, organizations, and communities in creating positive change.

Cultural Survival invites you to celebrate #GivingTuesday with us by taking six meaningful actions to support a future that respects and honors Indigenous Peoples' rights. Whether through a donation, volunteering, or spreading awareness, we can all contribute to building a better world for us all.

1. Double your donation for #GivingTuesday!

Your donation for #GivingTuesday will be matched up to $5,000 by a generous donation made by an Anonymous donor!

Join Cultural Survival and our partners as we work to fulfill the rights of Indigenous Peoples around the world through a four-pronged strategy using Grantmaking, Capacity Building, Advocacy, and Communications.

In the Indigenous community of Totorabamba in Peru, a partner of our Keepers of the Earth Fund, Indigenous women are leading the efforts to revitalize ancestral knowledge of medicinal plants through the project Qampi Qorakunata Waqaychasun Allin Kawsakunapaq (Revaluing Medicinal and Aromatic Plants for Well-being).

2. Listen to and share Indigenous Voices.

Listen to our Indigenous Rights Radio Program to hear the latest information on Indigenous Peoples' rights and how they are being implemented around the world.

3. Support Future Generations

Today you can take steps to provide continued support to Indigenous communities worldwide. Join our Sustainers Circle, a community of committed donors who generously give recurring gifts to advocate for Indigenous Peoples' rights. A recurring gift is the easiest and most convenient way to give. As a recurring donor, you'll know your donation is in place for the future!

2024 Youth Fellow Sabou Doumbia (Bambara), from Mali, led a project titled "Preserving Our Lands and Our Future, Bambara," which aimed to raise awareness among the women of the Bambara community about the effects of climate change on their lands.

4. Looking for a meaningful holiday gift? Give the gift of the Cultural Survival Quarterly!

Make a minimum gift of $45 ($25 for senior/student) and receive four issues of the Cultural Survival Quarterly magazine in 2025! Or give the gift of the Cultural Survival Quarterly to a friend or family member!

5. Support Indigenous Artists and Shop Indigenous at the Cultural Survival Bazaar, December 5-8 at the Prudential Center in Boston! Can't make it in person? Order online!

6. Follow Cultural Survival and spread the word on social media.

Please like and follow Cultural Survival's FacebookInstagram, Threads, and X/Twitter pages and invite 5 friends to also follow us on social media! Encourage your friends and family to get involved by making a donation, which in turn amplifies Indigenous voices and solutions around the globe. Every like, dollar, and increased visibility helps us to continue to provide essential support to Indigenous Peoples! Thank you!
