Service Changes Coming Soon

Our Jan. 5, 2025 service change will increase our current level of service by 5 percent.
*Service Details*
* *Route 14 - *A new route offering 30-minute weekday service between the Olympia Farmers Market, Capitol Campus, and Olympia Transit Center. Route 14 will improve access to the Washington State Capitol Campus from downtown office buildings, businesses, other transit routes, and nearby parking.
* *Route 42 - *Increased weekday frequency to every 30 minutes; added weekend service at 30-minute frequency.
* *Route 45 - *Minor schedule adjustments at stop #366, Bowman Ave. at Rogers St. [eb], for buses heading toward the Olympia Transit Center.
* *Route 67 - *Increased frequency from every 60 minutes to 30 minutes every day.*

*December & January*
Local and Express bus service, Dial-A-Lift and Village Vans will not operate on the following holidays:
* Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024.
* New Year's Day, Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025.
In addition, service ends early on Christmas Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 24. We will operate regular schedules on New Year's Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 31.

Where are Crosswalks Needed along Martin Way?
Crosswalks
Martin Way is challenging to navigate without a vehicle. To help make the corridor safer and more accessible for all users, the Thurston Regional Planning Council (TRPC) is identifying up to 10 locations for crosswalks along Martin Way.
TRPC wants to hear from you: Where should the crosswalks be placed? What other safety improvements are important to you?

Intercity Transit seeks your input on our 2025-2030 draft Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan defines levels and types of public transportation services offered over the next six years to determine the amount and sources of revenue to finance our services.
The 2025-2030 Strategic Plan represents the continuation of our commitments created from a multi-year short- and long-range planning process.
The draft Strategic Plan is available for review and comment by:

Stormwater Improvements Underway
We are making important stormwater improvements at the Lacey Transit Center.
Work began on Monday, Dec. 2 to repair grates in the driveway that cover stormwater infrastructure. During the hours of 10 p.m. to 12:40 a.m., buses will be rerouted. Riders should expect to board and deboard on Golf Club Pl. and 6th Ave. During regular service hours, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., bus operations will resume inside the Lacey Transit Center as usual. The project is expected to be completed by Wednesday, Dec. 25.
For your safety, please avoid areas that are cordoned off. The project is weather dependent so delays may occur.

This season, avoid the parking hassle and ride the bus to shop, dine and attend events! We have bus routes that will take you to local shopping destinations. All buses are free to ride so just get on, and go!
Here are a few route suggestions:
* *Capital Mall:* From the Olympia Transit Center, hop on Routes 45, 47 or 48.
* *South Sound Center (Marshalls, Kohls, Target, etc.):* From the Olympia Transit Center, hop on routes 64, 66 or 68.
* *Downtown Olympia:* From the Lacey Transit Center, hop on Routes 62A, 62B, 64, 66, or 620.
