It’s incredible to think about where we are as a nation and of the opportunities to secure the future of religious freedom.
Listen to First Liberty’s Kelly Shackelford explain what the election results mean for the future of religious liberty over the course of the next four years:
As Kelly said, there is much work to be done. And it all starts with the Fire Chief Ron Hittle case that we are working to get the Supreme Court to hear.
After attending a leadership conference held at church, Ron was investigated and eventually fired after more than 20 years of service with the city of Stockton, CA.
The primary reason for his dismissal was his attendance of a religious event.
It’s really rare that an employer is bold enough to tell you that they are firing you for your faith, but that’s just what Stockton’s leaders did.
That’s not only wrong. It’s illegal.
Now it’s up to the Supreme Court to decide Ron’s case.
And it’s up to you to make sure our expert legal team has the resources they need to get this case across the finish line.
