ONE NATION CONDEMNS LIBERAL PARTY’S CASH BAN BILL

The Coalition has declared a war on cash and One Nation has emerged as the only political party with federal representation to publicly oppose them.

Championed by Australian Treasurer Scott Frydenberg and Prime Minister Scott Morrison, the cash ban bill, also known as Currency (Restrictions on the Use of Cash) Bill 2019, will make it illegal to conduct transactions that involve more than $10,000 in physical money.

One Nation’s leader Senator Pauline Hanson made the party’s position clear in no uncertain terms with this scathing assessment of the tyrannical proposal.

If the Liberals are successful and The Currency (Restrictions on the Use of Cash) Bill 2019 becomes law, it will limit the use of cash to $10,000 and impose 2-year jail sentences and fines of up to $25,200 for anyone who breaks the law.

As Senator Hanson explained, “effectively if you are a person who keeps cash and uses it to buy a new small car, for example, you will face the real threat of 2 years in jail and a fine that would likely exceed the value of the vehicle.”

One Nation’s Malcolm Roberts summed up the entire farce very succinctly when he said, “One Nation will oppose the Governments proposed ban on cash payments over $10,000. Legal tender is legal tender. The only ones who will love this bill are the banks."

FAMILY LAW FIGHT FRONT &
CENTER IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA

On Monday, One Nation held a community forum on Family Law organised by One Nation’s Western Australia state leader Colin Tincknell.

Colin, who sits in the WA upper, is a strong campaigner for family law reform. Speaking on the floor of the WA parliament, Colin delivered an impassioned call for the system to be overhauled, saying:

“Every week in Australia three men commit suicide and one woman is murdered. I do not know whether that is acceptable to anyone. I cannot imagine that it would be. It is certainly not acceptable to me. Two hundred people a year die because of shortfalls in the system. We as a society need to get better at handling this. We have a duty to this society to make it better. The subject always seems to fall into the too-hard basket. The two major parties— that is, the Liberal and Labor Parties, because one is in government federally and one is in government at the state level—need to take this matter seriously.”

Australia’s failed family law system is a national shame and One Nation will fight tooth and nail to see that it is addressed.

PROPER PROCESS IGNORED
WITH NSW ABORTION BILL
New South Wales is on the verge of passing new abortion laws and One Nation’s NSW leader Mark Latham has called out NSW Premier for doing a backroom deal and rushing the process despite the importance of the subject.

Speaking on 2GB Mark explained that the role of the upper house in NSW was “to get it right, to make the law as perfect as possible.”

However, “Tragically in the case of religious freedom/conscientious objection for doctors and safeguards for late-term abortions that proper process is not being followed.”

Due to the unusually rushed process which could soon see the reforms become law, Mark has accused Premier Gladys Berejiklian of doing a deal with Independent Alex Greenwich prior to the election to bring the abortion debate on because she was concerned she would fall into minority government at the March state election.

Asking, “How else do you explain this convergence of the private members bill that is rammed through the parliament?”

Good question!

No legislation should be rushed through without proper scrutiny, especially not because of possible backroom deals and especially not when there are on such a contentious issue such as abortion.

ONE NATION FLIES THE FLAG
AT CPAC
One Nation was front and center at CPAC, an Australian conservative convention, this weekend after the convention resisted calls from the Labor party who moved to shut it down and called for speakers banned.

Malcolm Roberts, who had defended the conservative convention on the floor of parliament, was asked to speak as was Mark Latham.

As you can see from the photos they were in good company sharing the convention stage with some of the world's leading conservative voices including Nigel Farage, leader of the Brexit Party.
