Yesterday marked 3 years since the massacre at Oxford High School in Oxford, MI.

Yet, in those 3 years, nothing has changed. Assault weapons – like the one that stole 4 students and injured 7 others – still roam our streets, and our children continue to be plagued by gun violence.

– Guns are STILL the leading cause of death for American children and teens.
– More than 1,200 children and adolescents have died by gun violence in 2024.
– Our country has witnessed 306 school shootings so far this year.

It’s heartbreaking.

Children deserve to focus on their studies instead of learning how to duck and cover.

Parents deserve to send their kids to school without having to worry whether they’ll come home on the bus or in a body bag.

Teachers deserve to go to work without wondering if they’ll make it home to their families.

But our leaders have failed them.

That’s why we’re fighting tooth and nail against complacent lawmakers – like the ones who blocked the assault weapons ban in the Senate in December of 2023. Will you pitch in any amount before midnight to help keep our movement to ban assault weapons firing on all cylinders? The more you give, the more funds we have to push back against the gun lobby’s puppets in power. >>

Last year, we were honored to attend and co-sponsor Newtown’s 11th Annual Vigil for Victims of Gun Violence in December 2023.

We listened to thousands of survivors tell their stories.

We listened to countless loved ones talk about people they lost.

We listened to outspoken cries for change and action by our lawmakers.

But more than a year – and tens of thousands of innocent lives torn apart by mass shootings and gun violence – later, and Trump’s gun-lobby-backed MAGA majorities are taking back full power.

They think they have the mandate to tear down all our gun safety progress – but we plan to show them they’re wrong.

We intend to work tirelessly to ensure no one has to go through what those at Oxford High School endured – no matter who’s in charge. We’re on the frontlines to re-instate a federal assault weapons ban and end gun violence once and for all – but we can’t keep our work going after we spent every last penny on this historic election without your help. We’re calling on 395 gifts before midnight to hold cowardly Republican lawmakers accountable and show them we’ll stop at NOTHING to protect Americans from mass shootings. Will you rush $15 to help? Your contribution goes directly to BAWN’s work to DEFEND our gun safety progress against the gun lobby and Trump. >>

BAWN is committed to replacing every cowardly and complacent lawmaker, regardless of party, that denies your right to live without fear of being shot. Legislators that support the deadly proliferation of guns, instead of common sense gun safety measures, are responsible for the carnage of gun violence -- and must be voted out.

BAWN also lobbies legislators to support the assault weapon and large capacity magazine ban bills that will help put an end to the slaughter of innocent Americans.

But they can’t do this alone. BAWN is relying on your support to kick every coward who refuses to protect our children and families OUT of office. Will you chip in right away?
