#GivingTuesday is Tomorrow ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Friend,

#GivingTuesday is coming tomorrow, and it’s a truly important day for the Drug Policy Alliance. We count on special moments like this to raise critical funding for the important work ahead.

And we count on you, Friend. We know you want to end the drug war as badly as we do. That’s why we’re asking you not to wait—get ahead of the #GivingTuesday rush and DOUBLE your first gift to DPA right now!

MATCH MY GIFT

It can feel like our country is divided on so many issues, but poll after poll show that most Americans want the drug war to end. They see how it fuels mass incarceration while disproportionately targeting Black, brown, and low-income communities.

And this costly, destructive, failed approach has done nothing to reduce or limit drug use, here in the U.S. or anywhere else.

That’s why we’re scoring victories across the nation — even in the face of organized political backlash from drug war proponents.

More and more states are passing laws to allow life-saving overdose prevention centers. The DEA — THE DEA! — is considering rescheduling marijuana (even though it would keep it illegal, it is a big sign of change).

But we can’t stop fighting until we all get to live with freedom, justice, and dignity. That’s why we are building an on-the-ground presence in areas with some of the harshest drug laws, like the South and Midwest. It’s why we are fighting against federal policies to enact more mandatory minimum sentences for other drug charges. And it’s why we are fighting to pass bills like the MORE Act and the CAOA in Congress to fully end marijuana criminalization.

It may not seem like it now, but the future is within reach, Friend. It won’t be easy to get there, but you know it’ll be worth it. Make your #GivingTuesday gift today while it will do TWICE as much build that tomorrow.
