As we approach the holiday season, the spirit of giving takes centre
stage. Whether through time, resources, or support, we're reminded of
the power of giving back to the Parkinson's community. In this issue,

Upcoming Event

Dec. 3 is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. On
this day we reflect on increasing the voices and agency of people
living with disabilities as we work towards a more inclusive
world.

Holiday Office Hours

Please note that Parkinson Canada's offices will be closed starting
from 1 p.m. ET on Dec. 24, reopening on Jan. 2. We won't be

Upcoming Webinar

Current therapies for advanced Parkinson's include deep brain
stimulation (DBS), the Duodopa gel infusion pump, VYALEV subcutaneous
infusion therapy and new studies on a technique called focused
ultrasound (FUS). Join us on Dec. 11 from 2 to 3:15 p.m. ET as we
discuss these four therapies and hear from individuals who have
accessed them. You'll hear about the benefits and drawbacks,  and
how it affects their daily lives. This webinar could be helpful if
you're considering a new therapy and want to hear from someone with
direct experience.
