Many people associate dairy farms with cows, but goats are also exploited for milk production—and babies like Josie-Mae are regularly sold for meat or raised for dairy like their mothers.

Josie-Mae would have suffered one of those fates, but a trauma cut off circulation to both her front legs. Since her wounds were not treated in time, this sweet girl lost her right leg and suffered damage to her left leg. Thankfully, Josie-Mae and her mother Willow were both surrendered to our care and, together, they have healed from their past.

Now, Josie-Mae has the individualized care and support she needs to live a long and peaceful life—including a prosthetic leg that helps her get around! And it’s all thanks to compassionate people like you.
