Dear Reader,
At Ballotpedia, our “One Big Thing” is closing the ballot information gap—ensuring voters across the country have access to unbiased, comprehensive ballot information. In 2020, we took an exciting step toward this goal by partnering with high school and college students for virtual volunteer opportunities, which led to the creation of the Ballotpedia Fellows Program.
This program equips students with valuable research and writing skills while fostering political engagement and awareness. Since its inception, we’ve welcomed nearly 550 Fellows, helping them sharpen their abilities, grow in confidence, and adapt to the evolving landscape of remote work.
What’s truly inspiring are the stories from our Fellows. One student shared: "I use Ballotpedia practically every day as a political science major and current legislative intern. Thus, serving as a member of Ballotpedia’s Spring Fellows cohort was a no-brainer.”
This Giving Tuesday, join us in nurturing the next generation of non-partisan information providers. Your support will empower students and help us continue closing the ballot information gap for all voters.
Thank you for being a part of this vital mission!
Sincerely,
Andrew Heath
Director of External Relations
