Hey John -- just making sure you saw my email this week about Karen Handel's totally out of line attack. She accused me of using shootings and my son's death "for personal gain."

It's completely out of line, and shows her true character -- she's willing to sink this low and we're not even anywhere close to November yet.
I refuse to let anyone prevent me from speaking my truth about gun violence in this country. If anyone is allowed to talk about the painful effects gun violence in this country, it's me -- Lucy McBath.

As a mother on a mission -- it’s going to take a lot more than just Karen Handel's words to intimidate me. But the truth is, Karen isn’t just attacking me. She's attacking our entire gun safety movement and every one of our supporters. She's attacking you too, John.

John -- we can't set our movement back by electing any more NRA-enabled politicians like Handel, and we certainly can't afford to lose to her in November. So, I need your help. Will you pitch in $10 or $20 right now to show Handel the power of our grassroots movement, and what we do when she comes after us?

Just had to get this off my chest before I went to bed tonight and the weekend ends. I'm still so upset about her attack on me -- and on our gun safety movement. It's just so purely cynical -- and shows that Handel is exactly the kind of person who we need to make sure never is elected to Congress again.

Hey John --

Did you see this brand new attack on me by Karen Handel? She accused me of using shootings and the murder of my son for “personal gain.” Let's just say that this time, Karen Handel has crossed a line. As a parent who lost her child to gun violence, I know how this week's news cycle plays out all too well. And this is a cheap shot that is lower than low.

When my son Jordan was shot and killed in 2012, I experienced the worst pain imaginable -- and I stood up to do something about it. I spoke out against the NRA. I spoke out against the gun lobby. I continue to do it to this day -- because the lives of our children depend on it.

I am working hard to save lives in Washington by leading the fight for gun safety. And ever since this pandemic started, I’ve been laser-focused on our government’s response. I wish Karen Handel would do the same, instead of taking cheap shots at me.
